Little Women: The Musical Auditions!

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Little Women. We are very excited to bring this classic story to the Playhouse stage in January 2024. Please take the time to review this information in preparation for your upcoming audition.

Little Women: The Musical invites you into the world of Louisa May Alcott's well-loved novel that follows the coming-of-age story of the March sisters - Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy - and their mother (Marmee). This musical chronicles the women’s relationships with each other and their community as they grow up in relative poverty while their father is away fighting in the American Civil War. The story (and the music) showcases each woman’s unique adventures and ambitions, trials and triumphs, and loves and losses.

• Principal Characters: must be 18 or older
• Ensemble: must be13 or older

Audition Dates at MHMT Playhouse:

• Tuesday, September 19: 6:30-9:00 pm
• Thursday, September 21: 6:30-9:00 pm
• Callbacks – Sunday, September 24: 7-9 pm

Audition Procedure:
Auditions will be individual through a sign-up process

  SCRIPT (reading):

  These script choices include dialogues. You are welcome to bring a “reading partner” to your audition to read opposite you in these. If you prefer to come alone, someone will be prepared to read with you. Please prepare to read the following:

  AUDITION FORM:

  Before your audition, you will need to complete an audition form. It can be completed before you arrive for your audition or filled out at the theatre before your audition time. Here is the link to the form.

  • NOTE: between September 28 and November 5, rehearsals will be held at Fifth Ave Memorial United Church
  • Rehearsals will be held at the MHMT Playhouse starting November 7
