What does it mean to “grow up”?
Set in a bachelor’s apartment in New York in the early sixties. Alan, a playboy, discovers he really cares about one of his many girlfriends just when Connie decides to leave him due to his lack of commitment. He falls apart while his younger brother, Buddy who has moved in with him to escape their controlling parents morphs into a ladies man. The parents are appalled with their sons’ behaviors. With various antics they try to get the "bums" their children have become back on track while their marriage suffers. Alan is forced to finally grow up and face the emptiness of his playboy lifestyle.
